Effective tips for selling your car

Making Every Picture Count

A picture can be worth more than a thousand words. We highly suggest using good photos. First impressions count. Undesirable pictures can turn buyers off and lead to non-response.

Good photos will grab people’s attention and help you sell your car. Bad pictures could turn into an absolute waste of time because you won’t get any enquiries – resulting in not selling your car.

A good percentage of people looking for classic cars use the Internet and photographs are the most useful tools in their search. Thus, the importance in uploading professionally presented photos.

At Simply Classics, we are interested in creating a venue, which works for all concerned i.e.: the seller, the buyer, the browser and ourselves. For this reason we ask you to choose your photos carefully – photos that sell your car.

It is recommended that the main photo shows the front three-quarter view. This photo would ideally be taken from a standing level and not whilst bending down as this can distort the photo. Other examples that you can use for your listing include:

• Exterior: front

• Exterior: back

• Interior: dash

• Interior: front seats

 • Interior: back seats

• Engine

• Wheels and tyres

• Items that make your vehicle special

Composition The idea here is to show buyers features of the vehicle including the colour and condition. It is advisable that your photo does not include objects like, people, other vehicles, fences, trees etc. What background you use is also important.
